SHIP SUPERINTENDENT (m/f)
Our Client, General Maritime Management (Portugal), intend to recruit a Ship Superintendent based in Lisbon, with the following attributes:
Educational Background and Experience:
Formal Degree in Sea Machines Engineering (Nautical School), Architecture and Naval Engineering or equivalent;
Experience in working in oil tankers; Additional experience as an owner superintendent in shipyard and/or class societies could be an advantage.
Main Activities:
Technical and budget ships management;
Assuring ships operation;
Planning and controlling ships maintenance;
Negotiations with Shipyard: budgets, extra works and claims;
Vessel Dry dock preparation and correspondent management;
Identification and implementation of technical solutions;
Management of bureaucratic applicable legislation;
Ensuring the regular ship vessels inspections;
Follow up of Environment and Quality Company System;
Follow up of the oil majors vetting inspection;
Liaising with class and flag state;
Maintaining all Class and Statutory Surveys.
Other Skills:
Fluency in English;
Open to leave and work in Portugal – Lisbon;
Available to travel.
